Lodi Unified School District, in cooperation with US based Cupertino Electric’s Energy Alternatives Division, has broken ground on the PV system spanning four sites.

The solar system, which is designed by Cupertino Electric, will comprise of four smaller systems mounted on parking lot canopies throughout the district.

Lodi Unified School District facilities and planning assistant superintendent Art Hand said that the multi-campus solar system will decrease energy costs and subsequently increase student-related spending.

Construction of the solar system is expected to be completed this year.
