The acquisition of IMS’ energy measurement and verification systems will enable Leviton to offer its customers a complete line of lighting energy management systems for meeting all measurement and verification based opportunities like smart metering, load management and LEED rating achievement.

This in combination with Leviton’s worldwide distribution and sales channels will position Leviton as a single source provider of an integrated approach for tracking, monitoring and verifying lighting consumption and implementing cost and carbon footprint reduction.

Leviton chief operating officer Daryoush Larizadeh said that IMS is a key acquisition that supports our leadership in sustainable energy technologies.

"As the leader in lighting energy management solutions, our expansion into the measurement and verification market supports our customers’ efforts to validate and optimize the performance of their systems in pursuit of LEED credits and reduced energy use," Larizadeh said.
