The 126MW Larji hydro power project in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh state, India, is to be commissioned by the middle of 2005.
The first 42MW unit of the project – being implemented by the Himchal Prdesh State Electricity Board – is to start trial runs in March 2005 while the other two units are to be made fully operational within the next three months.
The excavation work of the 35m diameter surge shaft has been completed and concrete lining is to be finished by March.
