Keppel Seghers Belgium N.V., a unit of Keppel Infrastructure Holdings, has procured two contracts to supply incineration technology solutions for the Beijing Fangshan District Circular Economy Industrial Park Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plant and the Hunan Yueyang Municipal WTE plant.

The two contracts, which are worth over $20m, have an incineration capacity of 2220 tonnes per day (TPD). The deal includes the supply of core equipment, design, and technical services for the furnaces and boilers of the plants.

The order for the supply of the technology solutions are given by the Beijing Environmental and Sanitary Group and Yueyang City Construction Investment Group.

Both the plants will be commissioned by 2019.

The incineration capacity of Yueyang WTE plant in the Hunan province will be 1220TPD and over 25MW of green electricity will be produced by the plant.

The Fangshan WTE plant in Beijing will have an incineration capacity of 1000TPD and over 20MW of green electricity will be generated by the plant.

In Beijing, Keppel Seghers has supplied over 45% of the total installed treatment capacity of imported systems for WTE plants.

Overall, Keppel Seghers has secured five deals from China to supply WTE technology and services in 2016.
