Plans to invest some Sh15 billion ($208 million) in six new generation projects in Kenya are underway, according to local media reports.
The projects include geothermal generation at Eburru and expansion at Olkaria II, along with redevelopment or optimisation of a number of other projects.
Olkaria II will be completed in the next two years and generate an additional 35 MW.
