The kimberlite has been identified in the first of fourteen drill holes planned for the drill program.

Kennady Diamonds CEO Patrick Evans said: "We are very pleased with this first kimberlite intersect at Faraday 2 where drilling in the winter of 2014 resulted in the discovery of a shallow kimberlite ‘blow’ or small pipe-like body.

"Recently completed ground geophysics at Faraday has identified anomalies comparable in size to the main Kelvin kimberlite."

The company believes that potential exists for tonnage at Faraday kimberlite and plans to establish continuity over the 1km strike there.

In 2014, Kennady Diamonds recovered around one ton kimberlite from Faraday. Core samples analyzed at the Geoanalytical Laboratories Diamond Services showed 4.76 carats greater than 0.85mm with a commercial sample grade of 4.54 carats per ton.

The company intends to discover a resource of 10 and 13 million tons at a grade of between two and 2.5 carats per ton along the Kelvin – Faraday kimberlite as well as identify new kimberlites outside of the corridor.
