As part of the deal, KBR will offer engineering design and procurement support services for an offshore complex, which includes two bridge-linked fixed jacket platforms and an onshore gas processing facility.
KBR noted that the onshore facility comprises two gas processing trains with 900 mmscf/d capacity each and condensate processing facilities with around 105 mbd capacity, situated adjacent to the existing Shah Deniz Stage 1 facilities at Sangachal Terminal.
The firm intends to begin the work in January 2014, which will run through to 2018.
KBR Hydrocarbons group president Roy Oelking said, "KBR is delighted to continue our longstanding relationship with BP and its partners by taking this world class energy project to the execution stage and follows KBR’s 20 year presence and successful track record in Azerbaijan working with BP on both the Shah Deniz and ACG fields."
