Previously Kandi secured Chinese governmental approval for the domestic sale of its EV vehicle types 5012xxybev and 5020xxybev, following which the company gained the right to manufacture finished automobiles for Chinese consumers.
However, unlike the first two models to receive government approval, which according to the company, are suitable for limited consumer groups and will not have mass production, the applicable sphere of the new KD5010xxyev is much broader and has great market potential, according to the company.
In addition to providing families with low cost electric transportation, the new EV, powered by valve-regulated lead acid is expected to cater to the needs of government agencies such as the post office and power supply providers.
The company said that it is optimistic about the new KD5010xxyev and its potential to contribute to the company’s future development.
