This community-based power project has a generating capacity of 4.95MW and it has been constructed specifically to address the energy concerns of the regional health organization.
Juhl Wind vice president of development Corey Juhl said the company sees an increased demand for large commercial and industrial organization projects such as Gundersen’s as they fit extremely well within Juhl Wind’s area of expertise.
"The wind farm project will help Gundersen Health System achieve their goal of becoming 100% energy independent by 2014," Juhl said.
