GE Energy is to supply a Frame 9E gas turbine to state-owned Al Samra Electricity Production Co for a 126 MW turnkey expansion of a power plant in Jordan.
The new machine will join two others already operating at the site, approximately 30km from Amman.
The turbine will be shipped in December and will begin simple-cycle, commercial service in July of 2007, using natural gas as the primary fuel with distillate as a backup.
