JinkoSolar has been awarded a contract to supply 38.7MW of photovoltaic modules to EDP Renovaveis for the Lone Valley Solar Park I and Lone Valley Solar Park II projects in California.
Under the terms of the contract, JinkoSolar will supply approximately 120,000 high-efficiency solar panels for the 12.4MW DC Lone Valley Solar Park I and 24.8MW DC Lone Valley Solar Park II projects in Lucerne Valley, San Bernadino County in California.
JinkoSolar US general manager Nigel Cockroft said the company is excited to be working with EDP Renovaveis on these two large projects.
"This partnership with EDPR in the US is the beginning of a great working relationship, and we are committed to providing excellent service and high quality modules to support these long-life power plants," Cockroft added.
The Lone Valley Solar Park I and Lone Valley Solar Park II projects are anticipated to connect to the grid in 2014 allowing clean energy to be supplied to 5,000 homes in San Bernardino County.
