The company has already delivered the first shipment of modules to China Southern Power Grid Synthesis Energy (CSE).
CSE is the subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid (CSG), which invests, builds and operates power networks in Southern region of China.
According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance, installations in China could exceed 17GW this year, crossing a previous estimate of around 15GW.
JinkoSolar chairman Xiande Li said: "We are optimistic about the development of distributed solar projects in China with the strong support from National Energy Administration.
"With the domestic market in transition from ground-mounted to distributed solar projects, we are glad to work with CSE to jointly promote the development of distributed generation and to optimize energy mix in China."
The annual capacity of JinkoSolar includes 3GW for silicon ingots and wafers, 2GW for solar cells, and 3.5GW for solar modules, as of 31 March 2015.
JinkoSolar, which also sells electricity in China, has already connected about 617MW of solar energy projects to the grid.
