JinkoSolar, a China-based solar product manufacturer, has entered into agreements to supply solar modules to Saint-Gobain Building Distribution Deutschland (SGBDD), a subsidiary of French multinational corporation Saint-Gobain.
Under the terms of the agreements, JinkoSolar will supply SGBDD with 54MW of solar modules, with 4MW to be shipped in 2010 and 50MW in 2011.
SGBDD CEO Udo Brandt said that SGBDD plans to sell modules purchased from JinkoSolar in a great number of its chain stores throughout Germany.
JinkoSolar chairman Xiande Li said that SGBDD’s move into solar business displays its long-term confidence in the global solar industry and reemphasizes Germany’s role as a leading market for solar products.
