Innovalight, a company that manufactures a proprietary nanotechnology-based silicon ink and licenses a proprietary platform process to solar cell manufacturing companies, has signed a three-year commercial agreement with Solarfun Power.
The company licenses the platform process that allows an upgrade to solar cell manufacturing production lines to boost performance of solar cells and lower production costs.
Solarfun has plans to convert solar cell manufacturing capacity to higher efficiency products through the introduction of selective emitter technology, the company said.
The company will license a solar cell process and purchase silicon ink from Innovalight for the production of high efficiency solar cells on mono-crystalline silicon substrates.
Solarfun is an integrated global manufacturer of silicon ingots, wafers, solar cells and solar panels.
