Currently, NRPPL has an installed capacity of 185MW, of which wind power comprises 148MW, solar power 20MW, biomass power 12MW and hydel energy 5MW.

NRPPL raised funds from development finance institutions Germany’s DEG (Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft), France’s Proparco, and South Korea’s GS Power and Asia Clean Energy.

The current investors in the company, International Finance Corporation and FE Clean Energy, also took part in this round of raising equity.

NSL Group chairman said that with fresh round of investment, the company can speed up its development pipeline and achieve the goal of being a 1GW firm by 2016.

Earlier, NRPPL raised $60m — $40m from FE Clean Energy and the remaining from International Finance Corporation.
