Honeywell’s UOP Separex membrane systems remove impurities from natural gas streams.
Honeywell’s UOP president and CEO Rajeev Gautam said the new manufacturing and operations center in Malaysia will strengthen UOP’s position to meet demand as natural gas becomes a larger part of the world’s energy equation.
"This facility will expand our membrane manufacturing capabilities and increase our presence in the region," Gautam said.
Separex membrane systems are delivered as modular, skid-mounted units.
A gas processing design center has been established by Honeywell’s UOP in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2008 and it designs and delivers fabricated skid-mounted gas processing plants.
