Electric utility High West Energy is planning to construct a 30-mile transmission line in the US.

The line will run from the east side of Cheyenne to near Hereford and will stretch into northern Weld County in Colorado.

The company expects to invest around $7.3m to bring 34.5 kilovolts of electricity to EOG Resources’ gas processing facility located near Hereford.

High West Energy received permission from the Wyoming Public Service Commission in the US to obtain the required loan from CoBank to invest in the transmission line.

Based in Laramie County, High West Energy serves customers in Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado.

The company’s service territory includes over 4,200m² and more than 3,400 miles of power lines.

High West Energy serves about 10,000 members in Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado, including residential homes, businesses and government facilities.
