US-based High Plains Gas signed a deal with Ceritas subsidiary, Optigas to compress and transport natural gas from the Kingsbury Field to the sales point for the company.

Optigas possesses a Kingsbury methane gas gathering system in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming,US which compresses gas from five pounds per square inch gauge (psig) to 750 psig for intrastate pipeline delivery.

The system currently has over 30,000 HP of installed compression and can transport 85,000 mcf/d of inlet gas.

High Plains president Mark Hettinger said the company hopes to expand its agreement with Optigas as it continues to rework existing wells and bring more fields online.

High Plains is engaged in the purchase, development and production of natural gas primarily in the Powder River Basin.
