The company is drilling a horizontal well targeting oil bearing sandstones of the Glauconitic formation.
This is the first well on the 100% working interest lands the company recently acquired in the Jenner area.
Hemisphere said it is focused on building and developing core areas that provide low to medium risk drilling opportunities to increase production, reserves and cash flow.
The company currently has oil production from its Jenner property in Alberta, natural gas production from its Sylvan Lake and Wainwright properties in Alberta and liquids-rich natural gas production from its Trutch property in British Columbia.
