Norway-based engineering and construction firm Grenland Group has signed a letter of intent with FMC Technologies for the fabrication, assembly and testing of subsea structures that will be part of FMC's delivery to Woodside Petroleum's Pluto LNG project.

The contract is estimated to bring in around NOK70 million to NOK75 million in revenues for Grenland. The subsea structures will have a total weight of 700 tonnes and will be fabricated at the company’s facilities in Grenland, Norway.

Woodside is the owner and operator of the large Pluto gas field, which is located in the northwest of Australia. The delivery of the subsea structures is scheduled for spring 2009.
