Globeleq has completed the purchase of power assets in Panama and the Dominican Republic from El Paso Corporation.
The purchases include the 300MW Fortuna hydroelectric power plant. The power company has also bought two thermal power plants in the Latin American region.
In addition to the assets in this transaction, Globeleq owns and operates hydroelectric and thermal generation throughout the Americas, including COBEE, the largest hydro power producer in Bolivia.
