Rambus, through its technology licensing platform, offers advanced lighting systems, including LED edge-lit optical designs, MicroLens light distribution features, and guide panel and multi-function film manufacturing technologies.
Under the terms of the licensing agreement, GE will choose from Rambus’ portfolio of technologies to offer its global base of customers a line of LED products for architectural, retail display, signage, outdoor, roadway and transportation lighting applications.

According to the International Energy Agency, lighting accounts for approximately 19% of electricity consumed globally. Broader adoption of LED lighting, an energy-efficient lighting technology, is expected to result in reduced energy consumption worldwide.
