GE has signed a contract to provide MODEC with three LM2500+G4 aeroderivative gas turbine generators for use on a floating production storage and off-loading (FPSO) vessel in Brazil's Campos Basin.
Each unit is site rated at 27.8 MW and will operate in simple-cycle mode with natural gas as the primary fuel and diesel backup.
The equipment will be shipped by the end of the first quarter of 2008 and the facility is expected to be operational at the end of 2008.
