Shanghai Tonghua Gas Turbine Services Co has signed a contractual service agreement with GE Energy covering nine GE Frame 9FA gas turbines being installed at four new combined-cycle power plants in China.

The agreement covers maintenance services for more than 11 years for all major outages at the power plants.

With this latest agreement, GE is committed to providing a range of services and support for 11 of the GE Frame 9FA gas turbines that are part of China’s Gas Turbine Power Plants Construction Project Phase 1.

In addition to providing 20 F technology machines for the first two phases of the project, GE will also provide four Frame 9E gas turbines for phase three. All of the power plants in the construction project are scheduled to begin production over the next two years.

The new contract will cover plants operated by Hangzhou Huadian Banshan Power Generation Co, Zhangjiagang Huaxing Electric Power Co, Jiangsu Huadian Qishuyan Electric Power Co. and Jiangsu Huadian Wangting Natural Gas Power Generation.

China Huadian Corp is the major shareholder for the Banshan, Qishuyan and Wangting plants; while China National Technical Import & Export Corporation (CNTIC), is a major shareholder of Shanghai Tonghua.
