Fluor would serve as GEH’s engineering, procurement and construction partner if Finnish utility Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) selects GEH’s technology for the planned Olkiluoto-4 reactor project.
TVO is now evaluating several different reactor technologies for the power project, including GEH’s Generation III+ Economic Simplified Boiling Water Reactor design.
Under the MoU, Fluor and GEH will jointly bid on the Olkiluoto-4 power project on Olkiluoto Island in western Finland.
GEH, an alliance between General Electric and Japan’s Hitachi, is a designer of advanced boiling water reactor technology and services.
