He went on to push for greater diversity of supply routes across Europe, and made specific mention of the Nabucco plan to route a pipeline from the Caspian Sea through Turkey to southern and western Europe, which would avoid Russia.
This (Gazprom) monopoly must be substituted with free competition systems to supply Europe with energy, he was quoted as saying by Reuters.
