Gaz de France has signed a ten-year supply contract with Gasverbund Mittelland to deliver two billion kWh of natural gas to the Swiss company per year, or approximately 200 million cubic meters, between 2010 and 2020.

The new contract, which adds to a supply agreement in force since 1998, will double the amount of natural gas imported by Gasverbund Mittelland (GVM) from France.

The agreement enables GVM to strike a better balance for its gas imports from France and northern Europe, thereby guaranteeing greater security of supply for its partners and customers.
