The wind farm, which is situated in the southeastern corner of Alberta, is owned by the City of Medicine Hat.
The contract also includes operation and maintenance services for five years, North American Windpower reports.
The project represents a long-term power purchase agreement signed by the city and WindRiver Power subsidiary Box Springs Wind.
Under the agreement, the city will buy all the power and all carbon credits attributable to the project.
The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-2014.
