Under the contract, Gamesa will be responsible for the development of the wind farm including the supply, installation and commissioning of 25xG97-2.0 MW wind turbines.

The contract will also see the company providing maintenance services for ten years at the plant.

The plant being built in Kosegaon, in the state of Maharashtra, is expected to be completed by by mid-2014.

Gamesa, which has a significant presence in India as technology provider and wind farm developer, has erected over 900MW and manages capacity of over 800MW under operations and maintenance agreements and has a projects pipeline of around 4,300MW in India.

The company claims that it has attained 18% of its sales in India in the third quarter of 2013.
