The facility is being developed by Canada-based renewable energy company Western Wind Energy at the Tehachapi Pass.
Gamesa will supply 60 wind turbine generators from its G8X-2MW platform and will also provide operation and maintenance services for the next ten years.
All the turbines, which are specifically designed for high temperature, will be installed on 67m towers.
Gamesa will supervise construction of the wind farm and power generated from the project will be supplied to Southern California Edison under a 20-year agreement.
