A demonstration has also been performed for Freestone’s various financial partners that will begin working with Freestone in order to build commercial scale units in the immediate future, the company said.
This oil extraction technology was developed by Freestone, while the prototype machine was produced with help from a technology development engineering firm.
Freestone claims that current oil sand extraction technology produces toxic tailing ponds.
Freestone CEO Clayton Carter said that over the next year, the company’s goal is to develop partnerships that will allow for the utilization of its technology in the various oil extraction applications.
