Foster Wheeler’s Global Engineering and Construction Group subsidiary has secured an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) contract for a hydrodesulfurization unit at TOTAL’s refinery in Antwerp, Belgium.
The order has been placed by TOTAL Raffinage-Chimie for an undisclosed sum.
The hydrodesulfurization unit will allow the refinery to produce jet fuel with a sulfur content below 30 parts per million (ppm), and diesel with a sulfur content below 10 ppm, in accordance with European Union requirements.
The unit is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2013.
