Canada-based energy company Forum Uranium has commenced ground prospecting, radon and geochemical surveys over its wholly-owned Clearwater Project in Canada’s Athabasca Basin.

The project is on trend and immediately adjacent to the southwest of the Alpha Minerals/Fission Uranium Patterson Lake South discovery.

The company has received the data and interpretation from recently concluded airborne radiometric, magnetic and electromagnetic surveys over its 9,910ha property.

The surveys identified that the electromagnetic conductor hosting the Patterson Lake uranium deposits and parallel conductors from the Alpha/Fission property trend on to Forum Uranium’s claims in a northeast-southwest direction.

In addition, several elevated uranium channel anomalies from the radiometric survey have been observed, along with two areas on Forum’s claims with highly anomalous lake sediment samples.

Forum Uranium also mobilized a field crew to explore the property on the ground.

Further ground geophysical surveys will be carried out this autumn and early winter to set the targets for drilling in January 2014.
