Mr Rowden is a chartered accountant by qualification. He is president and CEO of a private electronics manufacturing company based in Bend, Oregon, US.
Mr Rowden has been a director of a number of oil and gas companies over the past 15 years and brings public company experience that will be an asset to FairWest, the company said.
