The Irving, Texas-based company also stated that the crude oil and refined product pipelines in the Gulf and other regions of Texas have restarted as they have recovered from Hurricane Harvey. Its offshore production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico and onshore facilities have also resumed normal operations.
Pipelines of crude oil and refined products being operated by the company, to and from the Baytown refinery have now started operations. Pipelines from Baytown to San Antonio and Irving, Texas have returned to full service and terminals in those locations have also been reopened.
ExxonMobil Refining and Supply Company president Jerry Wascom said: “We are making good progress safely restoring our operations to pre-storm levels.
“We have brought in gasoline, diesel and jet fuel from other regions to supplement our own production to ensure a quick return of reliable supply to our customers.”
Apart from this, ExxonMobil is trying restore its chemical and lubricants manufacturing operations. The Baytown chemical plant, Mont Belvieu plastics plant and Beaumont polyethylene plant have also resumed their operations.
The Baytown olefins plant is now operating at reduced rates and the Beaumont chemical plant and lubricants blending and packaging plant have also resumed operations.
