The environmental impact assessment (EIA) and the environmental management plan (EMP) for the proposed mining license area were lodged with the Namibian Ministry of Environment and Tourism in November.
The company said that the approval of the EIA and EMP is an important step for securing a mining license for Husab, which is the fifth-largest uranium-only deposit in the world.
The mining license application was lodged with Namibia’s Ministry of Mines and Energy during December 2010.
