Byron Station Site vice president Tim Tulon said the team has completed robust upgrades to the facility that will ensure the safe and reliable operation of both units through the summer months and beyond.
The station’s Unit 2 turbine was taken offline on 16 March in order for the team to complete insulator replacements in the facility’s switchyard.
The station’s Unit 1 was brought back online on 15 March, and both units are back online generating electricity.
