The program will help connect 25,000 new system users per annum while helping improve the reliability of the electricity supply by around 30% and help to reduce energy losses.
The funding will implement the group’s four-year investment program in the energy distribution, which contain about 40,000 independent distribution network upgrading schemes and will also allow the connection of 25,000 new system users.
EIB Operations vice president Anton Rop remarked that they will continue the funding through which Poland will achieve the modernization of electrical networks.
The EIB will also support the modernization of renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy infrastructure projects and it has already provided €212m in 2012 for the enhancement of electric grids in Poland.
