Being built in collaboration with developer and operator ‘Greener for Life’, the new facility will be designed and built under an enengineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Kempston.
The facility is claimed to be one of the first few AD facilities in the UK that would produce biogas from organic waste for injection into the main gas grid, according to Eternity Capital.
Eternity Capital investment director Alon Laniado said, "This is Eternity’s second energy from waste investment and reflects Eternity Capital’s strategy to invest in a portfolio of such projects, as part of its wider investment focus on waste and environmental services."
The new plant is expected to have a 20 year lifetime, through which it is expected to supply renewable energy enough to power over 2,500 homes each year.
