The agreement was secured through the "Fomento a la Inversion Publica y Privada en la Propiedad Rural" (FIPP program), which is a voluntary federally funded and administered government program in the country.
Structured as a surface lease with the communal land owners, the agreement has an initial term of 15 years.
The agreement will also apply to all of the land, required for the project, provides exploration and development along with the construction and operation of a mine at the project.
Commenting on the developments Esperanza Resources president and CEO Greg Smith remarked, "This agreement is a key step in the permitting process and in advancing Cerro Jumil to production."
