Solar solutions provider ESA Renewables has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to provide design and construction services for a 24MW power project located in Paradise Park, Jamaica.

In cooperation with Caribbean Energies Group (CEG) and an US Solar Original Equipment Manufacturer provider, ESA will design, construct, commission, monitor and provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a 24MW DC project at the proposed premises.

The financing, the array site and the materials for the power project will be provided by CEG.

ESA will also support in securing all permits and other legal requirements for the system as well as conduct all required assessments and related studies for the system as needed.

The solar park is expected to be constructed on around 100 acres and will produce over 33 million kWh of electricity annually which is equivalent to saving over 17 million kg of CO2 annually.

The construction on the project is expected to commence this year.

ESA will install its monitoring system and follow a custom-designed O&M schedule for the solar farm.
