enXco Service, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company that develops, constructs, owns and operates renewable energy projects, has secured a 10-year Operations and Maintenance(O&M) contract from Flat Water Wind Farm for 60MW wind power project in Richardson County, Nebraska.
The contract requires enXco Service to provide commissioning assistance during construction of the plant consisting of 40 GE 1.5MW turbines, and provide on-site O&M for the balance of plant during the turbine warranty period, and full O&M post-warranty.
In addition, the company will provide 24/7 remote monitoring of the wind turbines at the plant that is scheduled to commence commercial operations in December 2010 from its Operations Control Center located near Chandler, Minnesota.
enXco Service manager of business development Keith Smith said that enXco Service is pleased to have been selected by Flat Water Wind Farm owned by Gestamp Wind North America to provide O&M for the Flat Water project.
“Flat Water adds to our growing portfolio in the Central Region. We are thrilled to assist Gestamp Wind North America on their first project in the US,” Smith said.
