enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) for up to a 100MW wind facility to be built in Solano County, California.

enXco will develop, build and own the Shiloh III wind project while PG&E will purchase the power generated under a 20-year PPA, and the project will be operated and maintained by enXco Service Corporation.

EnXco president and CEO Tristan Grimbert said that Shiloh III represents the company’s fourth wind project in the Montezuma Hills Wind Resource Area and follows on the 150MW Shiloh II wind project, which was commissioned in 2009.

The Shiloh III project, subject to the approval of the California Public Utilities Commission, is expected to generate clean electricity for approximately 35,000 homes.
