The second phase assessment confirms G3-PLC’s maturity and efficiency, which allows to match the level of services for data collection and alarm monitoring of GSM/GPRS, according to Sagemcom.
Enexis Smart Metering Technology director Lonneke Driessen said the company was expecting much better results than the previous tests in S-FSK PLC, when it started field trials in G3-PLC.
”We have been very positively surprised by the good results and we are quite confident for the mass rollout,” Driessen added.
The first assessment of the G3-PLC meters deployment had demonstrated robustness of the solution and its interoperability between several suppliers.
The G3-PLC technology in currently being deployed by Sagemcom in different European countries, proposing to its customers single-phase and three-phase meters and data concentrators
