EnerNex Smart Grid Labs (SGL) and MET Laboratories signed a collaboration agreement for testing, analysis and training services for their energy industry clients.

The companies will work with a similar client base, providing complementary sets of services.

SGL said the partnership will benefit clients from the efficiencies gained in leveraging the combined resources of both companies within one comprehensive program.

MET Laboratories and SGL will jointly offer solutions to utilities and their vendors that build upon each company’s expertise, combining to develop a premier full service offering across various energy industry domains.

EnerNex’s scope of work will include distribution automation system testing, cyber and physical security testing, utility communications protocol testing, and advanced metering infrastructure testing.

MET Laboratories’ scope of work will include meter accuracy, reliability, and safety testing, photovoltaic panel testing, electric vehicle and charging station testing, and inverter testing.

EnerNex chief technology officer Erich Gunther said, "Smart Grid Labs and MET Labs share a vision for providing our clients with high quality expert services to assure that systems and devices conform to end user expectations, and enable secure interoperability."
