Tieton Dam Hydrolectric Project is a 15.6 megawatt hydroelectric facility purchased by the Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA), a joint powers authority, on behalf of the City of Burbank, Calif., and the City of Glendale, Calif., both of which have agreements to purchase the power output. The City of Burbank is responsible for the overall O&M of Tieton through the SCPPA contract. Energy Northwest has signed a one-year Inter-Local Agreement – renewable on an annual basis – with the City of Burbank.
"This agreement complements Energy Northwest’s clean energy generating assets, including hydro, nuclear, wind and solar," said Mark Reddemann, the agency’s chief executive officer.
The contract scope of work includes several deliverables with an emphasis on operating and maintaining the Tieton Project using best utility practices; original equipment manufacturer recommendations; and adherence to all regulatory and safety standards and requirements.
