The insurance provided under the Energy Savings Warranty program will cover the ESCO’s payment obligations to government agencies, municipalities, institutions, and other building owners if the ESCOs guaranteed savings on a project are not realized.
Energi Holdings has selected International Insurance Company, an insurance company of Hannover Re, to underwrite the policies for the Energy Savings Warranty Program that will be available directly or through a select network of independent insurance agents and brokers in all 50 US states.
Energi Holdings CEO Brian McCarthy said that ESW provides project owners and the institutions that finance projects the knowledge that insurance will both survive the construction phase of the energy efficiency project and supply critical protection for expected savings.
