Nexans will supply approximately 5,000km of medium and low voltage PV and data cables.
Said to be the Europe’s largest solar farm, the Cestas facility will generate more than 350GWh of energy annually.
Nexans is manufacturing the cables at its Bourg-en-Bresse, Jeumont and Andrézieux facilities in France.
Planned to be commissioned in October 2015, the project will be operated by Eiffage Energie through Clemessy consortium that was formed to build the farm.
Featuring about one million solar panels, the Cestas project is divided into 25 solar facilities which spread over 250ha.
