Designed to replace the successful NTU and Connex lines offered by the company since 2004, the new NTX series of substation controllers are expected to bring new benefits to global utilities that rely on remote telemetry to transmit critical system information to the control center.
The new series includes four models to help ensure that the companies find the right balance of price and features to address virtually any application requirement.
Efacec CEO Jose Barbosa said the NTX series provides a wide range of cost-effective offerings to address utilities’ increased need to integrate with more legacy and new substation devices, for secure processing of more data.
”We expect the NTX series will help maintain Efacec ACS’ position as one of the premier smart grid automation suppliers in the industry, evidenced by our more than 19,000 RTUs delivered since 1975,” Barbosa added.
All NTX models share common features and benefits, which include a robust and reliable modular design that can be readily modified for varied applications and installation requirements, multiple master and intelligent electronic devices (IED) ports, advanced local automation.
In addition, the models may share many common modules and utilize the same NTX Explorer configuration software, thereby simplifying maintenance and reducing ownership costs.
