EDF Energies Nouvelles, a renewable energy company, has completed the acquisition of a portfolio of 30 operational wind farms in France from Iberdrola through a consortium.

The wind energy projects account for a consolidated power capacity of 305MW.

EDF Energies Nouvelles led consortium comprising MEAG, the asset management arm of Munich Re and ERGO, and GE Energy Financial Services entered into an agreement with Iberdrola to acquire the assets.

With the agreement finalized, EDF Energies Nouvelles owns an interest of 20%, GE Energy Financial Services an interest of 40% and MEAG an interest of 40% in the assets.

Under the partnership, EDF Energies Nouvelles will provide asset management, along with operations and maintenance services.
